Robi Reed, Director & Producer

With over 40 films to her credit, casting-director and producer, Robi Reed earned an Emmy Award for her outstanding work in casting “The Tuskegee Airmen” for HBO Pictures.

A leader in the motion picture and television industries for more than 20 years, Reed’s rise to success began while casting feature films for writer-director Spike Lee such as “Do The Right Thing,” “Jungle Fever,” “Malcolm X” and more.  Since that time, the Hampton University alum has garnered successes with numerous film and television productions including the 20th Century Fox feature “Soul Food,”, Denzel Washington’s “The Antwone Fisher Story,” MTV/Paramount Pictures’ “Fighting Temptations” starring Cuba Gooding Jr. and Beyonce Knowles , Showtime’s “Barbershop” and the summer 2006 releases, “Waist Deep” starring Tyrese (Focus Features) and “Crossover” (Sony Pictures) .

Reed’s expansive list of television credits include “The Tracey Morgan Show,” “Girlfriends,” “Soulfood” (the series), “In living Color,” Roc,” “Good News,” “Sparks And Sparks”, and “A Different World” to name a few. Upon her Emmy win in 1997, Reed garnered subsequent Emmy nominations for her work on HBO’s “Only In America: The Don King Story” (1998), and HBO’s “A Lesson Before Dying” (1999). Reed parlayed her success in casting into one of executive producing, helming projects such as the series “Good News,” and “The Kirk Franklin Show” pilot.
